The requirement:
To write a report to analyze a product of a brand with reference of "4 Ps" theory with no less than 200 English words.
 
"4 Ps"analysis must include:
1. The quality and  functions of the procuct and how they satisfy the customers' needs.
2. The pricing strategy.
3. The channels to sell the product and the product coverage.
4. The advertising and sales promotion of the product.
 

Please present your presentation on class before May 9th, 2013.

    Hollister, a clothing brand, with casual style, which mainly targets the young aged between 15 and 25 including boys and girls, and which applies a variety of coastal elements into its products, offers custermers not only clothes, but waistband, scarf, slippers, cap, bag, and even perfume.  
    Now Hollister’s head office lies in SOHO block of New York city, and owns many chain stores located in many countries, of which 3 lie in China’s large cities—Shanghai, Beijing, ShenZhen. If you want to find Hollister, you have to get into its official website or go to a large mall, which usually seems to be a little grand.
    Hollister either advertises on TV or finds star endorsement, even you can hardly find any advertisement about Hollister in magzines. It mainly expands its visibility by its customers and staff. Usually it’s stores are near some very famous brands’  like Cavin klein, also, its decoration is tremendously grand. It is not eccentic to find many plants, large screen in the wall showing the landscape of south california’s coast. All these creates a very pleasant phenomenon for you to purchase goods, what’s more, no saler will bother you unless you need any help.
    The goods are not very expensive, you coud buy a pair of Jeans with 300RMB and a coat with 400RMB. Often, some products are on sale, you could purchase a T-Shirt with only 70RMB and 3 bottles of Gu Longshui with 237RMB whose price is 137RMB for each.

    IKEA became one of the top 100 most valuable brands in 2003 and it’s the head of the world’s furnishing industry with the sales of 12.8 billion Euros in 2004.
    The supermarket of IKEA usually locates at the place of combination of country and blooming town. On one hand, those markets are usually very large for they are near the country, and on the other hand, they are not very far from the town, it usually takes people about one hour to get there.   
    The products of IKEA are very popular within the young adults for those products have unique designs and wonderful color collocations. What’s more, they have complete range of articles for customers to choose.
    As far as we know, IKEA has the most competitive prices. Ikea's business objective is to provide a variety of beautiful and practical household articles which common people can afford .IKEA tries to reduce the cost of production by using plate type packaging and optional shopping way, and bulk purchase as much as possible.
    IKEA open up their warehouse to make the customers mention goods in their own. And then this open way has become an important part of the IKEA concept ,which makes consumers choose the product by himself , and this method greatly reduces the transportation cost. It has even led to the revolution of furniture retail and manufacturing, which also greatly promotes the speed of IKEA stepping into world.

    Product:
    Iphone4 is a product of apple inc. and it has tow kind of color, white and black.
    It is particularly marketed for video calling (marketed by Apple as FaceTime), consumption of media such as books and periodicals, movies, music, and games, and for general web and e-mail access.
    It is mainly controlled by a user's fingertips on the multi-touch display, which is sensitive to fingertip contact.

    Apple has its own Experience shops to help it to promote the sale of product, which has become a very successful method to explore its product especially for the new ones.
    For the iphone4, the big marketing intermediary in China is the Unicom. In august 2009, Unicom contact with the Apple to agent the iphone4 and had helped sell about 1 million iphone4.
    To extend the market, Apple also has increase the number of resellers and the channel become more detail and complicated.
    Place: China, mainly in cities.
    Consumers:
    The most consumers of iphone4 in China are between 15 and 50, and most of them are the officers or a middle-class or upper class family.

    Strength: technology, band name, design, relatively good service
    Weak: signal, only one battery, incompatible
    Opportunity: smart phone popular
    Threat: Motorola, Nokia, imitation such as xiaomi phone.
